Fabulous hotel, great customer service on reception, very friendly and efficient. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and our towels were changed and beds made after our first night of our two night stay. The bar area is lovely with a good ambience and very friendly staff. A special shout out for Lucy who was friendly and professional, advised us about wine and food choices and made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent. We recommend the open lasagne and chicken dishes.

Location is close to footbridge across the river to bars restaurants and shops. The walk to the cathedral and castle is about 15 minutes and up hill, sturdy footwear advised. Our river facing room provided a great view or the castle/cathedral. Huge window wall made the room light and airy. All the staff we met were professional and happy to be there as were we. The bar area and restaurant were comfortable and well presented. Evening meal was good value. Our second visit and will be our first choice when in the Durham area again.

I recently stayed at the Radisson Durham Hotel once again, this was the first time since the downstairs area had been renovated extensively and also with my family on this occasion. The location of this hotel is first class on the river and there is ample parking for many cars on arrival, the facilities for a city center hotel unusual, as there is a spa / swimming pool / gym etc. The very warm welcome we received off a young lady called Emily was a great way to start our stay and she really couldn't do enough for us during or stay on many fronts.
